I thought I would set about to explain MY understanding of the Trumpet, and Vial events of the Book of Revelation. I will focus specifically on the EVENTS for now, and point out some very obvious observations as we go through these catastrophic disasters which will come upon the earth.

First; I would like to point out that THESE trumpet, and vial events follow the opening of the SEVENTH SEAL---------therefore; they CANNOT transpire concurrently with the opening of the SEALS of Chapter Six, and Seven of the Revelation. Some expositors make ludicrous attempts to do so, in order to support a pre-conceived doctrinal point-------however------the Lord has robbed such persons leverage, in the DISCRIPT MANNER in which he describes the SEVENTH SEAL. Fearing that their PERSONAL ESCHATOLOGY will collapse under the weight of this scriptural evidence; they begin a hopeless SHELL GAME to find a WAY to explain a “CONCURRENCE” of the “SEALS” with the Trumpets, and Vials. It is a MADDENING effort.

Rev 8:1-10:1

Revelation 8

8:1 And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.

Note in verse one; that the SEVENTH SEAL has been opened. This will become an absolutely CRITICAL observation as we move along.

2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.

The angels have been GIVE TRUMPETS----------AFTER-----the opening of the Seventh Seal. This evidence ALONE should dispel the notion that the Seals/Trumpets/ and Vials run concurrently. One must logically ask; “how would Trumpet # 1 run concurrent with Seal #1 if the TRUMPETS of this passage are not even given to the angels until SEAL # 7 has been opened?? This is NONE LESS than elementary school arithmetic--------and yet; to soothe their need for supporting their OWN position, those who teach the afore-mentioned doctrine un-ashamedly cling to their folley.

3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.

4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.

5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.

6 And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.

So we have these events so far----- the Seventh Seal has been opened; Seven Trumpets have been distributed to seven angels------and NOW they prepare to sound.

FIRST TRUMPET

7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

a. hail and fire mingled with blood

b. a third part of earth’s trees and grass are burned up

SECOND TRUMPET

8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;

a. a great burning mountain cast into the sea

b. a third part of the sea became blood.

9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.

c. a third part of the creatures in the sea are killed

d. a third part of the ships were destroyed

I must stop here and address this matter of the destruction of Mystery Babylon. To those pundits of the post-tribulation destruction of Commercial Mystery Babylon [Rev.18], I must ask; how is it possible for the merchants of the earth, who trade by sea----to lament their loss of trade into Babylon [Rev.18]-----when FULLY ONE THIRD of all the ships in the sea have been destroyed under this Trumpet ? DON”T YOU NEED THOSE SHIPS TO TRADE BY SEA ??

THIRD TRUMPET

10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;

11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

a. a burning, cosmic body falls upon the rivers, and fountains [springs]

b. a third part of the waters were poisoned of “wormwood”

c. many men died because of the poisoned water

FOURTH TRUMPET

12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.

13 And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!

a. a third part of the sun/moon/stars “are smitten

b. heavenly light is reduced by 33%

c. the inhabitants of the earth are warned about the three remaining Trumpet

judgements.

FIFTH TRUMPET

Revelation 9

9:1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.

2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.

3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.

4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.

5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.

6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.

7 And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men.

8 And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions.

9 And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle.

10 And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.

11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

12 One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter.

13 And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,

a. a “star” falls from heaven-------a heavenly entity-----“he” [a personal pronoun}

b. “he” opens a bottomless pit which releases heat, and smoke, and the environment is

darkened by it.

c. creatures that resemble “scorpions” are released with the smoke.

d. allowed to harm “only those men who do not have the SEAL OF GOD----“

e. the creature cannot kill, but have power to TORTURE

f men shall seek to die, but cannot

g they are authorized to torment for FIVE MONTHS

h. one woe is past

------and I am to believe that “Commercial Babylon” is perking right along through these horrific events and proclaiming ----“I sit as a Queen and shall see no harm”---and BUSSINESS AS USUAL“ ???

SIXTH TRUMPET

13 And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,

14 Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.

15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.

16 And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.

17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.

18 By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.

19 For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.

20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:

21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.

a. four “bound” angels of the Euphrates [Iraq] are loosed with TWO HUNDREDMILLION creatures of verse 17

b. will slay a THIRD PART OF MEN for eighteen months, one day, and one hour

[this in addition to the millions who have already died of WORMWOOD]

c. surviving men still do not repent

To those pre-tribulationists who RUSH to cite the “days of Noah, when they were marrying, and given in marriage” in order to present a picture of a relatively peaceful world “prior to the rapture”----please note; In all of this miserable chaos--------MEN REPENTED NOT OF THEIR LUSTS!!!. This should serve as a clear warning to the DENIAL that lives in the hearts of men. In the days of Noah there was VIOLENCE in the earth, which triggered the awesome hand of God.

We will skip over the parenthetical events of this passage, and move on to the SEVENTH TRUMPET, since it is the “Trumpets, and Vials” that we are concerned with.

Rev 10:6-8
6 And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:

7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

a. “time is no more”

[the more correct translation of this phrase is---“this sequence is ended”; in

other words------there is nothing to follow]

b. the mystery of God is finished

The question following this statement should be; “if the Mystery of God is ended, then why is there yet SEVEN VIALS to be poured out?” this is the central effort of this apologetic.

THE VIALS

Rev 15:5-16:18

5 And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened:

6 And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles.

These “seven angels” are clothed in WHITE because the judgments they are about to dispense are RIGHTEOUS JUDGEMENTS. The earth is about to receive her JUST DUES.

7 And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever.

8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.

Revelation 16

16:1 And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.

Make no mistake;--------this is the WRATH OF GOD

FIRST VIAL

2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.

Note that the men of this verse have .GRIEVOUS SORES. Let’s return to the FIRST TRUMPET and take a look at the description of THAT event. Hail and fire are cast upon the earth, and plant life is scorched. There is no significant correlation between the Trumpet, and Vial events at this point, unless it is the “hail, and fire” that have caused the sores.

SECOND VIAL

3 And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.

In the events of the SECOND TRUMPET we see that FIRE is cast into the sea, and a THIRD PART of the sea became as blood. Do you see the similarities between the SECOND TRUMPET, and the SECOND VIAL ?

THIRD VIAL

4 And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.

In the events of the THIRD TRUMPET we see that a star called WORMWOOD falls into the earth and pollutes a THIRD of the rivers, and fountains of water. Do you see the STARK SIMILARITIES between the THIRD TRUMPET, and the THIRD VIAL ?

5 And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus.

6 For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.

7 And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments

FOURTH VIAL.

8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.

9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.

Under the FOURTH TRUMPET we see the Sun/Moon/Stars are also STRICKEN.

FIFTH VIAL

10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,

11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.

Under the FIFTH TRUMPET we see that creatures resembling scorpions are released into the earth along with smoke, and heat, and men are tortured by these beings. Note that men under the FIFTH TRUMPET are not allowed to die, but must endure their suffering. These men of the FIFTH VIAL, also do not die. We know this because in spite of all their suffering--------THEY REPENT NOT !

SIXTH VIAL

12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared

Under the SIXTH TRUMPET-----four demonic angels are loosed AT THE RIVEREUPHRATES-----and two hundred million creatures are loosed to slay a THIRD ofmankind. Beside the obvious similarities of these SEVEN Trumpet, and Vial events, there is a HUGE PROBLEM for those who hold to the belief that these TRUMPETS and VIALS unfold chronologically; that is to say--------that the VIAL judgments follow the TRUMPET judgments in a redundant manner. Here is the IMPOSSIBLE PROBLEM---------By the time that the SIXTH VIAL is poured out, the number of men who have been killed during the SEALS, and TRUMPET judgments, is nearing 100%, and we have not even entered the VIAL JUDGMENTS. You see; we have already approached 100% of mankind killed under the combination of the Seals, and Trumpets, -----yet we are to believe that there is much more to come under the VIAL judgments------not likely. We are also asked to believe that there is a NATIONAL ENTITY [Babylon], with an economy SO VIABLE as to SURVIVE all these horrors, and to cause the MURCHANTS OF THE EARTH to lament her destruction----- FOLLOWING THE HORRORS OF THE SEVEN SEALS, TRUMPETS, AND VIALS ? Who could possibly believe this ? Who could possibly believe this doctrine ? Yet, there are THOUSANDS who do. Where is that ABILITY to RIGHTLY DIVIDE the Word ? Where is PLAIN COMMON SENSE, and THIRD GRADE ARITHMATIC ?

13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

SEVENTH VIAL

17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.

Note the words of the SEVENTH VIAL-----“IT IS DONE”. Now note the words of the angel of God at the sounding of the SEVENTH TRUMPET----- “THE MYSTERY OF GOD IS FINISHED” ! May I honestly ask; Are the judgments of God so impotent that he must REPEAT his judgments in order to make some COSMIC POINT ? Does he cause pain and suffering TWICE ? Does he destroy the sea, and the ships of the sea---TWICE.? Does he deal with this matter of THE EUPHRATES----TWICE ? Does he cause an END to his judgment—TWICE ? Or is it that the FIRST TRUMPET SOUNDS--------and the First Vial is poured out? The SECOND TRUMPET SOUNDS-----and the Second Vial is poured out ?-----and so on, and so on until the SEVENTH TRUMPET SOUNDS, and the Seventh Vial is poured out ? This latter scenario seems the only reasonable portrayal of these JUDGMENTS OF GOD . Now on to Revelation 16:17-21---------------

Rev 16:17-17:1

17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.

18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

GREAT BABYLON ?

This is the logic---------to the notion that THIS post-tribulation event involving “GREAT BABYLON”, is synonymous to that destruction of Mystery Babylon of Rev. 17, and 18. Because “GREAT BABYLON” ----------CAME IN REMEMBRANCE before God------to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath”; we are to believe that this “REMEMBRANCE” is synonymous to the destruction of Mystery Babylon that the Lord says will come at the hands of “TEN KINGS, who will BURN HER WITH FIRE, and EAT HER FLESH and give their power unto the Beast”. How in the NAME OF REASON, and SOUND BIBLE EXOGESIS, can we possibly come to the conclusion, that these two Babylonian events are the same ??. In REV.17-----SHE IS “BURNED WITH FIRE, AND HER FLESH IS EATEN”-----------In Rev.16:9 she is DIVIDED INTO THREE PARTS, as God simply REMEMEMBERS [the gravity of] HER SINS, and her previous punishment. That is ALL that Revelation 16 has to say about Babylon. Anything further, is simply added to support unscriptural eschatology.

20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

How is it that the Kings of the earth, and Merchants of the earth [Rev.18:9-11] lament the INITIAL destruction of Commercial Babylon---------if the NATIONS OF THE EARTH HAVE FALLEN-------and EVERY ISLAND HAS FLED AWAY ?? These are reasonable questions to be asked of reasonable people. They MUST be answered by those who play the prophecy SHELL GAME.

21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

These people of Rev.16, ARE NOT lamenting their financial losses at the destruction of Commercial Babylon as in Rev.18----------they are CURSING GOD because of the plague of hail ! If one is to believe that the destruction of Babylon Rev. 18, and Babylon Rev.16:9 are the same event------------how do the TEN KINGS [Rev.17] now give their power unto the Beast ? This is LUDSICROUS—because at this point in Rev. 16, we have arrived at ------ARMAGHEDON--------which is at the VERY END of the Forty-two months!

LISTEN FOLKS

Listen folks, we are poised at the very point in time when God will bring judgment to Babylon/America at the hands of the TEN KINGS. Current events in the Middle East are a grave testimony to that soon destruction. It is the spirit of the Medes [Iranians] that God is stirring to launch that very destruction of which I speak. Gog------the prince of Magog [Russia], Meshech [Moscovites], and Tubal [Tubalskis] will back an alliance of Islamic nations to attack the land of Israel---------BUT FIRST--------they must deal with ------BABYLON-----------------

Ezek 38:10-13
10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:

11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,

12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.

HONESTY

There needs to be a little HONESTY regarding this matter. Pastors often BOAST of their deep convictions, and devout entrenchment regarding “THE WORD OF GOD”. They frequently hold open invitation to those in agreement with them. They BELLOW of a “CHRIST CENTERED, BIBLE BELIEVING ADJENDA”.

With pride, [bordering arrogance] they proclaim their personal conviction. They wear their “RELIGION” blazingly on their sleeve. “Yes sir there brother; I believe that the Bible is the inspired WORD OF GOD”. They will speak of “abundant grace”, and of “salvation by faith”. They will boast of the many blessings of the Father. They decorate their automobiles with the “ADVERTISING” of their conviction. They are --------------“CHURCHITES” !

SACRED COWS

There is an abundance of SACRED COWS amongst the Churchites. They will vehemently deny that they have any such IDOLS. They are schmoozy in their denial, until one OPENS THE WORD, and proves them to be in grave error. They will SPIN a desperate rationalle for that which is abominable to the Christian Faith.

YOU can literally see this in action. Just ask them how many days and nights Jesus was in the tomb. Jesus said; “as Jonas was in the belly of the great fish for three days, and three nights; so the Son of Man will be in the earth for THREE DAYS AND THREE NIGHTS”. Watch the desperation in their eyes as they attempt to defy mathematical reason.

See how this SACRED COW is corralled, and guarded by the Churchites. See how he dismisses the IMPORTANCE of the TRUTH in this matter. Watch the SWEAT bead upon his skin when he is threatened by the truth----------only to turn and label you as a “trouble maker”, and a sower of DISCORD”. Watch, as the graciousness of a timid spirit turns to VENOM---------and WHY ?--------because you have slain a SACRED COW !

TOUCH NOT MY CASH COW--------AND DO MY PROFITS NO HARM

MONEY----------is the DRIVING FORCE in the American Church. It begins at the PARKING LOT. The yearly budget for maintaining the “Church” parking lot can easily exceed the yearly income of SEVERAL families in a third world nation. Why don’t they save some cash by applying a GRAVEL [rather than the expensive blacktop surface that has to be maintained, and cleared of snow and ice in the winter] ? The yearly cost of maintaining a PARKING SPACE for the churchite’s 40,000 dollar gas guzzling S.U.V !

The building, and maintenance expence of the mega-church parking lot ALONE would build a medical clinic I Calcutta, or drill FIFTY fresh water wells in South America, or fund an AIDS ORPHANAGE in Africa. BUT NOOOO----- We simply MUST have a blacktop surface, with clearly defined parking spaces for the THOUSANDS that visit our “church” on Sun-day morning. Literally TENS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS go into your car’s personal comfort, while millions of your “brethren” worship the Lord on a DIRT FLOOR in China, or Africa.

There are even “ATTENDANTS’ who watch over the parking process. Everything goes like clockwork in the parking lot, so that the SERVICE can begin in a timely fashion. It reminds me of what I use to se back in Kansas where I grew up-------I mean; the way they use to load CATTLE from the stockyard pins, onto the rail cars for shipment.

Timely and organized with a little JOLT here and there for sake of expedience. All that’s missing is a CATTLE PROD. There is a THIRTY MINUTE interval between services in which to TRADE CATTLE [cars]------and the WRANGLERS [attendants] are never late---------HUNDREDS IN-----HUNDREDS OUT-------HUNDREDS IN AGAIN, and when it’s all said and done; it boils down to the most EFFICIENT WAY to gather-----MONEY---------AND WE HAVE NOT YET CROSSED THE THREASHOLD OD THE DOORWAY.!!

Now we move to the Church FOYER. “MAGNIFICENT” is the only way to describe the ENTRY-WAY to the mega-church in America. The WHITE HOUSE has no greater entry than the American Mega Church. This grand introduction to what is ahead, also serves as a POLITICAL PROPAGANDA CENTER at election time.

Tables are set up, and political brochures, and HIT LISTS cover their surfaces. At this time of the year; sermons are centered in YOUR OBLIGATION AS A CHRISTIAN to vote for this candidate, or that. “Hell awaits you” if you make the wrong choice-----or at least a shunning, and dismissal from the service ledger of available candidates. You will be treated politely, but you will know with certainty, that NOW you are an OUTSIDER

if you support THE OTHR GUY !. This ENTRO-WAY alone, costs THOUSANDS to function, in light of the costs of PRINTING materials, maintenance, and up-keep. Thousands, that could buy SHOES for those brethren who WALK TO “CHURCH” !

You enter the GRAND ARENA [sanctuary], and GRAND IT IS! A salaried organist is playing “inspirational pieces”-------[some composed in the middle ages] -----that you do not even recognize. The organist salary pales in comparison to the cost of the instrument itself. Every note, from every PIPE, bellows out DOLLAR SIGNS1 Of course, not all “churches” are this magnificent, but you can rest assured that the less GRAND of the assemblies, would very much like to exchange places with their opulent siblings. ..

Choirs of dozens of professional voices begin to sing, as the service officially begins. A salaried MINISTER OF MUSIC leads the orchestra [including harp, and strings], to elevate the spirit to a place that one believes; this must truly be--------HOLY GROUND!

After the MONEY PUMP has been sufficiently PRIMED-------the pastor steps forth sporting an eight hundred dollar suit, and without a wrinkle-----because the “seating compliment” in his LEXUS is designed to be STATIC FREE----and GARMENT FRIENDLY! He begins with his necessary announcements, the collecting of the TITHE, yada, yada.

The ceilings of this TEMPLE TO THE GODDESS OF TREASURE, are FIFTY FEET HIGH. The whole thing is designed to artificially induce a feeling of awe in preparation for the message, and to GOBBLE UP THE TITHE in heating, and air-conditioning expenses, in as short a time as possible.

In gathering the weekly TITHE, it is possible to “financially STRATIGIZE for the FUTURE”. It’s something the “church” authority can COUNT ON. Out of this dependable, and bottomless source of revenue; come plans to GROW THE CHURCH FURTHER-------ADD MORE SERVICES---------ADD TO THE MEMBERSHIP----------[trumpet fanfare please]-------AND COLLECT MORE TITHE. Something seems familiar about this. I think the world calls this a PYRAMID SCHEME, or something like that.

WHAT THE NEW TESTAMENT SAYS OF THE TITHE.

“TITHING” IS NOT A NEW TESTAMENT PRINCIPLE! Tithing is an element of the LAW of the Levitical system. Under the Law; the Levites [pastors] collected the TITHE from all the citizens of Israel [whether righteous or not]. This system would be best portrayed as if the AMERICAN CLERGY collected a TAX from EVERY FAMILY IN THE NATION, for the express purpose of supporting a NATIONAL RELIGION.

With the gathering of the Tithe, the priesthood was able to support them selves to that degree that was established in the Law. It was God’s will that tight parameters be placed on the Levites so that their POWER to collect treasure could not easily be abused by greedy clergy. The Levites were forbidden to own property. They were forbidden to own livestock, or ANYTHING that could lead to REVENUE PRODUCTION. No INVESTMENT PORTFOLIO! No CAPITAL GAIN! NADA!!!

They were compelled to be cared for BY THE PEOPLE and UNDER THE LAW. Imagine a TITHE COLLECTING PASTOR of today, living under those circumstances.. In fact, that might be the solution to many of our problems. If a pastor was to be restricted to this kind of austerity----------the pulpits would be emptied at the first sign of a problem on payday. They would “HEAR THE VOICE OF GOD” saying “COME OUT FROM AMONG THEM, AND GET THEE ANOTHER JOB----- IF YOU CAN”. A giant SUCKING SOUND would be heard, as the “pastors” exit the BACK DOORS in droves.

The New Testament is CLEAR about this matter of “giving”. It is a matter of THE HEART. Paul tells us time and again, that we are to give as the Lord [through the Holy Spirit], leads us. Time and again PASTORS smother us with promises of PROSPERITY, and more importantly------GOD’S FAVOR in the tithe.

God will FIX ANYTHING in your life, IF YOU FAITHFULLY TITHE!! This is what we are told. The Body, and Blood of Jesus have become irrelevant to our privilege in the work of Christ. There is ANOTHER path to God’s favor [they say]--------it’s called THE TITHE. With it; the sacrifice of the cross becomes SECOND FIDDLE. Our redemption is “INCOMPLETE” without THE TITHE!!

We are INDEED REDEEMED to that point where our FINANCIAL NEED comes into play--------then our Great Redeemer becomes weak, and inadequate to save. Who will save us from our financial despair?------------“THE LAW”---------“THE LAW WILL SAVE US” in the inadequacy of Christ’s Blood. If you will only TITHE----------then “blessings” are just beyond the next bend in the road. Your salvation is COMPLETED when you add the TITHE to your faith. YEAH----THAT’S THE TICKET!! Faith carries us just so far-------but the LAW catapults us to the FINISH LINE!! Such a deal??---------NONSENSE!!!

But the pastor has taken us to the Seventh Chapter of Hebrews, and proven conclusively that Abraham TITHED to Melchezedek, and Abraham lived PRIOR TO the law, and Melchedzedek was a type, and foreshadow of Christ. Doesn’t this place God’s seal of approval to this matter? Well, let’s see what the message of Hebrew’s Seven is all about.

Hebrews 7

7:1 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;

3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
4 Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.

To begin with; we are introduced to TWO characters in this illustration. They are both actual historical characters. They are both type, and foreshadow of things to come.

The first character is an ancient HIGH PRIEST. He rules from a place called Salem [meaning “peace”]. Salem is located at a high location [later to be called Jerusalem]. This man’s name is Melchedzedek. He is a portrait in type of Christ our HIGH PRIEST.

The second character is Abraham. He is our portrait type of MANKIND. He precedes the Law and Moses in history. Now the story begins;

Abraham has just returned from a battle in which he slaughtered several local kings. He has rescued his nephew LOT, who had been captured by those kings. He also comes with all the people that had been taken with Lot, and all the BOOTY OF WAR. This Melchedzedek descends from his throne in Salem, and meets Abraham in the valley below. Abraham knows that the KING OF SALEM has come to extract a gift [tithe], and Abraham respectfully complies.

Now HERE is where the whole thing brings CLARITY to this matter of the TITHE. Abraham gives TITHE of the booty of war. In exchange; the KING OF SALEM gives BREAD AND WINE to Abraham. Can you see what has happened here? Abraham gives TITHE------the representation of THE LAW; and Melchedzedek gives to ABRAHAM--------BREAD AND WINE, the very SYMBOL of the New Testament in Christ’s BODY AND BLOOD. This entire story is a portrait of the exchange made at the cross.

It was the exchange of the system of LAW-------for that of GRACE. The story goes on to say; “and the LESS [Abraham] was blessed of the GREATER [the King of Salem]-- [verse 7]. Do you see in this typology, that GRACE is more excellent than LAW, and that Melchedzedek [Christ] left his home in Salem [heaven], and descended to the valley below [earth], and met with Abraham [mankind], and received the TITHE [law] unto himself, and blessed Abraham with BREAD AND WINE [the testament in Christ’s body, and blood]------and Abraham [the lesser---the law] received of Melchedzedek [the greater----the New Covenant in grace] ?? This is the message of the ENTIRE BOOK OF HEBREWS. The writer WARNS the Hebrew Church to SHUN THE LAW, for in returning to the things of the LAW, one presents himself EXEMPT from the benefits of GRACE-----and there IS NO REMEDY to those who would try to BLEND law and grace.

Determining the Starting Point for the Seventy Weeks Prophecy

10a. There are four historic events to choose from;
Upon the conquering of Babylon by Cyrus, King of Persia and the Medes/Persian Empire, He made a decree that God had revealed to Him that Israel should be set free of their captivity, and Cyrus decreed that whosoever would, should go up to Jerusalem and rebuild the temple to the one God YHVH.

This God inspired act set off a series of four events in History by several Kings of the Medes/Persian Empire. Here are four candidate, Start-Up dates to choose from for the beginning of the "Seventy Weeks" prophecy.

Candidates for Start-Up in Chronological Order

539BC
King Cyruss' degree for Israel to go up to Jerusalem and build. This event is prophesied by Isaiah 44:28, fulfilled in Ezra chapter 1.

516BC
King Darius the 1st of Persia's decree for the elders of Israel to build God's Temple at Jerusalem. Recorded in Ezra chapter 6.

458/457BC
Based on King Artaxerxes decree to Ezra to return to Jerusalem and re-establish the Law and to rebuild the Temple and the practice of the Law in the Temple. This event is recorded in Ezra chapter 7 (also see Ezra 9:9).

445/444BC
Based on Nehemiah's Petition to King Artaxerxes to return to Jerusalem. This event is recorded in Nehemiah chapter 2.

10b. Selection 548/547BC; The Distinguishing
Character of the Restoration of the Law
Of these candidates, one is outstanding in its character in that it involves the restoration of the Law of God. Friends, all of these historic events and decrees listed above involved physical building of Jerusalem, it's walls, etc. But remember our God who has said;

Psalms 127:1 (NIV)
1 A Song of degrees for Solomon. Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

10c. The Spiritual vs the Purely Physical
One can lay bricks, build walls, and create a city, but unless the God of the Bible, His name is YHVH or Jehovah in English, is the center of its purpose then all will be in vain. And remembering that this is a prophecy where God answered Daniel's prayer for a physical deliverance from bondage,with a spiritual deliverance from sin and transgression through this Messiah who would come, then noting the fact that the 548/547BC event of Ezra's journey to reestablish the Law and to build is a wise choice.

Ezra's task and mission and the decree of King Artaxerxes is found in Ezra chapter 7, and it is important also to consider Ezra 9:9.

9 For we were bondmen; yet our God hath not forsaken us in our bondage, but hath extended mercy unto us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to give us a reviving, to set up the house of our God, and to repair the desolations thereof, and to give us a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem.

11. The Calculations Relative to 458/457BC

11a. Absence of the Year Zero on the Julian Calendar
The Jullian Calendar passes from 1BC to 1AD with no year "zero". Whenever determining time passages between years we must add one year to our calculations because of this missing year zero. The opposite is true when calculating which year we will arrive at when the time passage is known, in which case we must subtract one year. Here is an example chart to illustrate:

11b. Determining Time Passage When Dates Are Given
Though we would normally expect to count 10 years of time passage between the year 5BC and 5AD, there is actually only nine years because of the missing year zero. Therefore we must SUBTRACT one year in such calculations. A working formula for known Dates dermining time would be;

11d. The Seventy Weeks Translated

Daniel 9:24-27
24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

Verse 24 - Seventy "Weeks" is 490 Years:
70 X 7 = 490

25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

Verse 25 part(a) - Seven "Weeks" is 49 Years:
7 X 7 = 49

Verse 25 part(b) - Three Score and Two "Weeks" is 434 Years:
62 X 7 = 434

Added together:
49 + 434 = 483

27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Verse 27 - One "Week" Remains:
1 X 7 = 7

Added together:
(Verse 25) 483 + 7 (Verse 27)= 490

11e. The 458/457BC Calculation
Having now completed the preliminary calculations we process the information given by the Angel Gabriel into the start-up date of 458BC.

The Formula: YearBC + TimePassage + 1 = YearAD
458/457BC + 483 + 1 = 26/27AD

This will place the Baptism of Yeshua of Nazareth at this 26 or 27AD placing His Crucifixion at approximately 30AD. Also...
458 + 490 + 1 = 33AD

... approximately 3 years after a 30AD crucifixion.

11f. The Baptism of Yeshua Approximately 27AD
The Baptism of the Lord Jesus Christ is linked with the 15th Year of Tiberius Caesar by Luke 3:1, because this is the year that John the Baptist announced Yeshua as the Lamb of God and baptised Him.

Luk 3:1 Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judaea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of Ituraea and of the region of Trachonitis, and Lysanias the tetrarch of Abilene,

The fifteenth year of Tiberius Caesar is often stated as beginning in 14AD, but that is a surface level assessment, only. That statement does not consider the co-regency reign of Tiberius Caesar which began 2 years earlier as is cited by early Christian writer Tertullian who documented this coregent rule.

This places the baptism of the Lord Jesus Christ exactly at 27AD, perfectly fulfilling the prophecy at the end of the 69th week, exactly as does Daniel 9:25, as 7 weeks and 62 weeks = 69 weeks (483 years). Verse 25 clearly states this to be the timing of the arrival of Messiah.

Tiberius is mentioned by name only once in the New Testament (Luke 3:1): "the 15th year of the reign (hegemonia) of Tiberius." The question is, From what date is this to be reckoned--the date of Tiberius's co-regency, 13 (or 11) AD, or from his accession, 14 AD?

Tiberius became Caesar on August 19, 14, and in that year Dios 1 fell on October 15. Thus, his first regnal year according to the Syro-Macedonian calendar would be from Dios 1, or October 25, 13 until October 14, 14.

Luke would have measured the fifteen years from that year one by non-accession, or inclusive, reckoning. Thus, the "fifteenth year" fell from October 20, 27 to October 9, 28. According to Luke's Syro-Macedonian reckoning John the Baptist began his ministry between these two dates. This falls in line with the arrival of Pontius Pilate by the autumn of 27. The earliest first Passover of Jesus' ministry would have been in 28.

11g. The Crucifixion of Yeshua in 30AD as opposed to 33AD
The date of the year 30AD is considered be the correct date of the crucifixion of Yeshua of Nazareth for two reasons. One is the above determination of the date of His water baptism. Two is the fact that some do not accept the Friday crucifixion and prior to Sunday morning before the Sun arose resurrection timing. That is because the believe these words spoken by Jesus, without adulteration.

Matthew 12:40
40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

The idea of a 33AD Friday afternoon to before Sunday morning idea does not fulfill these words of Christ and should be discounted. The year 30AD would provide for a Wednesday crucifixion following this time table.


11h. Completion of the Prophecy... The Last Week
With the 69 weeks of the Prophecy calculated, we have only one week remaining. So far we have place the ascent of Messiah exactly where verse 25 places Him, exactly 69 weeks (483 years) after our start up date of 458 BC. With Biblical support that will be stated in the next segment, we see Messiah Yeshua "cut off" after the 69th week as verse 26 clearly reads;

Daniel 9:26
26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

Not only do our calculations perfectly align with the conclusion of week 69 but it places the 30AD crucifixion of Yeshua of Nazareth exactly in the middle of the 70th week where verse 27 states that His sacrifice caused the oblation (sacrifices in the Temple) to end. We do well remember the veil of the Temple being torn in two, upon our Saviour's death. This was an indication that the atonement for sins had been completed and no longer would an animal sacrifice be sufficient to atone for sins. Only the blood of the Messiah, the LAMB of God can now do that.

Daniel 9:27

Armageddon

ARMAGEDDON IS NOT AN EVENT! “ARMAGEDDON” is a LOCATION!

Revelation 16:16
“¹⁶And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.”

LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION!
Movie portrayals of Armageddon have little to do with the real place and event. “Armageddon” is a long, broad, valley in Israel (the Valley of Megiddo). Many of us have seen beautiful photos of this place. It is a beautiful, grassy valley eastward from Mount Carmel. There is room for literally millions of people standing shoulder to shoulder in this place.

This is WHERE the great prophetic battle between Christ (and His Saints) and Satan (and his followers) will take place. It is emphatically NOT a place where the world comes to an abrupt end and ALL mankind is obliterated. Remember This, You heard it HERE, HOLLYWOOD KNOWS NOTHING! Repeat after me – HOLLYWOOD KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT ARMAGEDDON.

The following is the Biblical scenario:

The nations of the earth will gather together at the end of the 42 months prophesied in the Bible. That 42 months will end with the gathering of the remainder of earth’s military forces at the Valley of Megiddo, in Israel. With the death of the TWO WITNESSES who have resisted antichrist and his cohorts, these armies are arrayed for the final conflict of the ages. The winner takes all! But there is yet a problem.

Revelation 19:11-21

“¹¹And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. ¹² His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. ¹³And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. ¹⁴And the armies,which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. ¹⁵And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. ¹⁶And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. ¹⁷And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; ¹⁸That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. ¹⁹And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. ²⁰And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. ²¹And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.”

The outcome is settled. The mortality of earth’s armies is 100%. Christ’s losses ZERO! What about Satan?

Revelation 20:2-3
“²And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, ³And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.”

Satan is bound for 1000 years, not to deceive the earth again till, the thousand years has expired.
This is the millennial reign of Jesus.

Revelation 20-6
“⁶Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.”

The Millennial Reign of Christ

Isaiah 2:1-4
“¹The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. ²And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. ³And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. ⁴And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.”

Micah 4:1-4

Revelation 20:4-6
“⁴And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. ⁵But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. ⁶Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.”

During this millennial reign there will be literally millions of human beings born into the earth. These will be the offspring of the remnant of mankind that survived “THE DAY of THE LORD,” as well as the offspring of the 144,000 of the Sealed of Israel who ALL survive “THE DAY of THE LORD,” which began on that day when the sun and moon were darkened (after the tribulation) and extending to the end of the 42 month (Timeline).

Every man must be equally tempted in order to make an honest choice for following Jesus.
These born in the millennium have not been tempted as we, for Satan has been bound throughout their lives.
How shall they receive eternal life in heaven? They must be tempted!

Revelation 20:7-8
“⁷And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, ⁸And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.”

“… and all shall go out to deceive the nations.”

What was the outcome? Were some deceived?

Revelation 20:10
“¹⁰And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.”

“… and the devil that DECEIVED THEM” was cast into the Lake of fire where antichrist and the False prophet ARE (present tense). Antichrist (the beast) and the False Prophet have awaited their masters’ arrival for one thousand years. Perhaps they believed that Satan could somehow prevail but – GUESS WHO’s COMING FOR DINNER?

“… they shall be TORMENTED with fire FOREVER.” Was antichrist (the beast) a real human being?
Of course he was. Was the False Prophet a human being? Of course he was.

A NEW HEAVEN AND EARTH

Revelation 21:1-6

“¹And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. ²And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. ³And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. ⁴And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. ⁵And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. ⁶And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.”
