WOE TO THE NATION SHADOWING WITH WINGS

There is a mysterious nation alluded to in Isaiah 18. It is a nation that God will destroy prior to the judgment of the whole earth during the coming DAY OF THE LORD. To attain the identity of this nation, one must look closely at the original language [Hebrew]; To do otherwise will leave one to conclude that this “nation” is some obscure ancient people of North Central Africa, who can never be identified in the study of ancient Bible lands. This aforementioned nation is prophetic, and holds great eschatological significance to the Church, and indeed to it’s people------and the WHOLE WORLD as we shall see.

As in ancient days; the CAPTORS paraded their CONQUERED PEOPLES before the KING--------the destruction of THESE PEOPLE will satisfy the RIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT of the Lord of the Universe. They are a renowned people, and TALL IN STATURE. They are a people who are FIERCELY INDEPENDENT to the point of PRIDE and OBSTINANCE.

This “present” will be parade before the Lord of Heaven and Earth as a witness to his righteousness.

To those who would dismiss this explanation, I would ask these questions:

1. What is your explanation of those devices hovering above the nation in verse 1.?

2. Who would send “ambassadors by sea” to intimidate other nations [verse 2]?

3. Who would this people be that are spread abroad, obstinate, and fiercely independent?

4. What nation on earth has many interior borders, many of which are distinguished by the rivers that flow North to South, and East to West, and West to East over a continental divide.

5. What continent is beyond the raging surf of West Africa?

Who is this nation whose destruction follows the destruction of Damascus in the immediate preceding chapter of Isaiah? What is that characterization in time spoken of as “when the grape is beginning to ripen? What is the connection to MYSTERY BABYLON of the book of Revelation?

In Revelation 14:6, we see that the Gospel is being freely preached in the earth.

In Revelation 14:8, we hear the declaration; “BABYLON IS FALLEN”.

In Revelation 14:9 we hear the warning, “if any man worship the BEAST and his image, or receive his mark-------------“. These angelic declarations are CHRONOLOGICAL IN TIME..

In verse 15, the declaration of the HARVEST OF THE EARTH--------BECAUSE THE HARVEST OF THE EARTH IS RIPE------and verse 18 declares “HER GRAPES ARE FULLY RIPE”.

Do you see the pre-tribulation destruction of Babylon in this study? Do you understand that the GREAT TRIBULATION, and the DAY OF THE LORD will follow the destruction of Babylon/U.S.A.?

1. The destruction of Damascus [Isaiah:17].
2. The destruction of that nation “shadowing with wings [Isaiah 18]”----Babylon of Revelation 14.----- when the” SOUR GRAPE IS RIPENING IN THE VINE”.
3. And the GREAT TRIBULATION following the destruction of Babylon.
4. The “HARVEST OF THE EARTH WHEN THE GRAPE IS FULLY RIPE”----following the GREAT TRIBULATION

This is why it is so important to understand the URGENCY to obey the command to FLEE BABYLON as recorded in Revelation 18:4. A destruction will come to America that is repeated over, and over in the writings of Isaiah, Jeremiah, and in the book of Revelation. The evidence would surely convince any jurist of sound reason. Time and again, the Lord warns us of what is to come and COMMANDS US TO FLEE !!
